I can't figur out why Alice chose alcohol instead her husband when she's in trouble.
I don't understand what could possibly be argued with when she had such a wonderful husband.
Maybe both of them were used to get in charge, forgeting sometimes being a little weaker is more nessesary than stronger in a marriage. So she got a lot of pressure from her husband's "help",often fell useless and not capable of doing anything. But all along,Mike was just trying to be a good husband, willing to take all the responsibilities and offer his hands when Alic felt bad.
He couldn't help wondering why his wife can't quit drinking at home. Was it possibly be his problem? He loved her so much and fell even worse when Alice's unhappy.
To get things better, they decided to seperate for a time.It got them a chance to relook their marriage,to rethink what they had done to each other. The truth was they still madly in love and it would be a huge mistake if they let this marriage over.
At the last part of the movie, Mike told his wife he was sorry.Sorry to not be really listening and he had learned to touch the inner heart.
So this is the end of the story and I know from the begining that they would never divorce.I can tell from the way they look at each other, soft and tender.
