The movie The Iron Lady describes the recent life of Margret Thatcher, the ex-premier of Britain, and pieces of her memory about the history of Britain during the second half of 20th century.
It is a movie of history and the of endeavor of an amazing female. What impresses me is her perseverance in political in spite of all kinds of difficulty. Margret is the first woman leader in British history. As we all know, the Great Britain is a nation values class of a person. Margret comes from an ordinary family, but she finally achieved what ordinary people couldn’t. She was sure of her dream when she was young and started to fight for it by all means. She was definetely the one of the best premier in Britain, she did a lot to the people of Britain, and made her nation stronger. Her memories and experience are valuable for us who are born after 1990, so this movie is a great treasure.
On her way of becoming the premier, many males just despised her and teased her, for she is a female. But sometimes a woman can be even greater than men. She had to tolerate everything and persisted in what she wanted. Her success is due to her hard work, intelligence and the support from her husband. She was interested in politics when young. Therefore, she prepared a lot for her political career, including the knowledgement, eloquence, way of thinking and so on. She was so lucky to have a good husband, who supported her all the way. When Margret was doubtful, her husband always comforted her and encouraged her to go on. This absolutely made Margret more determined. She experienced so many big events in the history of Britain. And all the time, Mr Thatcher accompanied with her through hardships. That’s why after the death of Mr Thatcher, Margret was always so lonely and had the illusion that her husband was still living with her.
Her achievement does give me something helpful. Firstly, one who wants to achieve something must follow his heart, and try to find out his real ambition. Secondly, once he makes the decision, he will solve all the problems he may encounter. Of course, success requires wisdom, if one can get the shortcuts to deal with everything, success will be closer to him. Then, one must be very determined, no matter what people talk about or what happens in life. Last, it would be better if one can get support from others.
While one thing that should be emphasised is that not everyone is Margret Thatcher, not everyone has the opportunity to be the leader. So what are more important is to follow our heart and to be ourselves.We can dig deeply into our potential and set a proper goal. Then just be the best self.
